Fitting Guide

Congratulations on your new sticker purchase! Now that you have your decal in hand, it's time to get it stuck on your vehicle. Follow this simple guide to ensure a smooth application process and enjoy your new addition to your car.

Gather Your Supplies

Before you start, make sure you have the following items ready:

  • Your Custom Car Stickers decal
  • A clean. lint-free cloth
  • Soapy water solution (A drop of washing up liquid mixed with water in a spray bottle)
  • Application squeegee or credit card
  • Masking tape (optional)

Step 1: Clean the Surface

This is one of the most important steps of fitting decals, Fully clean the area where you are applying your decal, any dirt, dust or residue can affect adhesion and cause the decal to not adhere correctly. Use a lint-free cloth and your mixture of soapy water to ensure the surface is completely clean and fully dry. Please note ceramic coatings and waxes can cause adhesion issues, these should be removed prior to decal application.

Step 2: Prepare the Decal

Firmly rub over the decal with a squeegee to ensure the vinyl is stuck to the transfer tape, this removed any tiny air bubbles which may have occurred during shipping and makes sure application goes smoothly.

Step 3: Plan, Flip, Peel

For larger stickers measure where you want the sticker to go, you can use a tape measure or ruler to find the centre point of the decal and mark it with a little masking tape, do the same to the area you are going to apply it to make sure it's perfectly centred.

Flip the sticker over so it is the wrong side up and peel the backing paper away from the transfer tape, if the vinyl stays on the backing paper repeat the above step.

Step 4: Get it stuck

Carefully apply the sticker to the surface and rub over it with a squeegee or an old credit card working from the middle outwards to stick the sticker to the surface.

Step 5: Peel and Admire

Slowly peel away the transfer tape at a 45° angle angle peel slow and steady making sure the sticker sticks to the surface and doesn’t lift.

After Care:

Allow the decal to cure for at least 24 hours before washing your vehicle to ensure maximum adhesion.
